- Open your Netscape program.
- On the top menu, click "Communicator", and then click "Messenger"
(1) to open your Netscape Messenger program.
- On the top menu, click on "Edit" (2).
- Then click on "Preferences..." on the drop-down menu (3).
- Click on the "+" sign in front of "Mail & Newsgroups"
on the left panel to display the available settings (4).
- Click on "Mail Servers" on the left panel (5).
- Type in your user name in the "Outgoing mail server user name"
field on the right panel (6).
- Click "OK" to save the settings.
